Today, the story continues with Ruin.
I've also added a short blurb to the top of the Into Namarhel section of the scrawls. I always find blurbs really hard to write. I'll try and add some to the other sections soon.
Finally, I finally filled in the about section of the site.
The Bricklayer continues Into Namarhel today. He was one of the first characters introduced to our protagonists after their arrival to Namarhel in the old draft of the graphic novel version of this story.
On an unrelated note, here's a photo I took of a strange fountain statue.
I sat down a little too late to write my scrawl today, partly because I was watching the World Cup qualifiers, England vs Poland. I had planned on continuing on with Into Namarhel, but I found it needed an energy I didn't have.
At half-time I started writing. I wasn't sure where it was going, or what it was. By the end of the second half, half distracted, I had put together something. It needed some polish, but soon enough it came together.
Today's scrawl is titled Wonder.
Something a little different today. Into Namarhel is taking a short break. I was looking for inspiration for a new scrawl and looked out my office window. I saw a single tree.
The next scrawl is here: The Invitation.
I've also reorganised the scrawls page a bit. The root page will now show the latest scrawl only. The remainder of the scrawls are grouped together (if related) on their own pages, in chronological order. Any standalone scrawls will appear on the Fragments page. Hopefully this keeps them all a little more tidy, and easy to follow!
The next scrawl is now available: Dissonance.
These are turning out to be slightly longer than I expected when I started this, but I suppose that's the undetermined length part of the scrawl! Full disclosure: I'm sometimes very slightly tinkering with them after they are posted. Changing a word here or there, if I reread it, and don't quite like the way something sounds.
No big edits though, that would defeat the whole purpose of this. Maybe in the future, once the story is done.
